A Casket of Cameos & Daily Readings
I obtained a Second edition (1926) of this hard book by Frank W. Boreham from a UK internet bookseller for just a few pounds. This book has twenty-two chapters, each chapter being devoted to "the stately life of a noble man". That's right not a single woman amongst them! The very first chapter (which runs to seventeen pages) is called "George Moore's Text" and is very much a precis of his life, drawing very much on Smile's biography (as Boreham acknowledges). Extracts from "George Moore's Text" also appear in F. W. Boreham's "Daily Readings" selected and arranged by Frank Cumbers pictured below and bought on Ebay to add to my collection for just 99 pence + postage!
