William Parkin Senior was the father of William Parkin, the younger (born 1865 died 1937) who became known as William Parkin-Moore when he inherited The Whitehall Estate and a considerable fortune under the term's of the will of his great uncle, George Moore. William Parkin Senior of Blaithwaite, Wigton was married to Miss Barnes the daughter of Joseph Barnes and Mary Moore, George Moore's older sister.
