Meeting of Committee held.
Present. Messrs. Martin, Hodgson, Elliott, Barnes, Penn and Wilkinson.
Mrs. Moore having Kindly promised to render some assistance at the forthcoming Entertainment. It was therefore agreed to have it on the 25th Inst.
Bills, Programmes etc. to be provided.

Report rendered of the Entertainment which proved successful.
Arrangements mad for reorganizing the Committee to carry out the Flower Show.

No business for Committee specially. The Flower Show business considered.

Committee met previous to Quarterly Meeting. Only Flower Show business to occupy the attention of the Committee.
Attendance at Quarterly Meeting fair.
The Members were requested to give their aid in making the Show successful.

Matters pertaining to the Flower Show being considered. It was agreed that under the circumstances the Show was not only a good one but successful.
A communication was submitted to Mrs. Moore, Whitehall relative to an Entertainment proposed for the Members and their friends.

Statement of a/cs prepared for Quarterly Meeting.
The nomination for the election of three Members on Committee were taken.
The Nominations were as follows:-

Present. Messrs. Martin, Penn, Bland, Reay, Walker, Elliott and Lattimer.
Resolved. That the out-door lamp be returned to Mr. Fisher to be replaced by a lesser one.
Book Shelves. Resolved. That Mr. Lattimer be requested to submit a tender as soon as possible for putting in additional Bookshelves uniform with those already in, and that they be put in within one month of this date.
Platform. Enquiries to be made for improving Stove. The repairs to be carried out without delay.
Lectures. Mr. Lawson, Mr. Robertson, The Bishop of Carlisle, Mr. Barton, Rev. S. Herbert & H. Curwen.

Committee Meeting held November 8th 1886.
Present. Messrs. Martin, Lattimer, Elliott, Walker and Bland.
Resolved. That Mr. Lattimer be instructed to have the spouts cleaned out at once.
Resolved. That Mr. Dalton be asked to take the Chair for Mr. Robertson’s lecture.
Resolved. That the Improvement Class be opened during the Winter months and that Mr. Penn be asked to read the first Paper on the 22nd Inst.

Committee Meeting held previous to the Quarterly Meeting when the Statement of a/cs be submitted to the Members was prepared.
Correspondence relative to the lectures was submitted for consideration. The gentlemen whose services had been solicited were unable to promise. Mr. Lawson’s lecture was defiantly arranged for February.
